Promotion & Engagement

Do you want to help tell agriculture’s story?

Are you looking for meaningful ways to connect with your community, with consumers and with the next generation?

The New York Farm Bureau Promotion & Engagement (P&E) program empowers members to be strong, confident advocates for agriculture — where it matters most.

Through hands-on opportunities, training and statewide initiatives, P&E gives members the tools and support to build understanding, strengthen connections and showcase the importance of New York agriculture.

The Promotion & Engagement program allows members to:

  • Share the story of agriculture with consumers and communities
  • Build meaningful connections beyond the farm
  • Participate in programs like Agricultural Literacy Week and community outreach efforts
  • Access training and resources to communicate effectively and confidently
  • Inspire the next generation to explore careers in agriculture

Featured Initiative: Ask a Farmer

Have a question about farming, food, or how agriculture impacts your daily life? “Ask a Farmer” connects consumers directly with New York farmers — creating real conversations that build trust and understanding. Whether online or in person, this initiative helps bridge the gap between those who grow food and those who want to learn more.

Whether you’re speaking in a classroom, hosting a farm visit or engaging with your local community, P&E helps you make an impact.
