  REPORT HAIL DAMAGE TO CROPS

 

   
  Severe storms hit many sections of New York with wind and hail
  on Monday, June 16. (View Photos.) In order to secure federal
  or state assistance, if your farm sustained crop damage it is
  imperative that it is reported to both your crops insurance
  adjuster as well as to local FSA offices immediately to make
  sure that the damage is included in the reports that FSA
  compiles to evaluate disaster declarations. Call the NYFB office
  or visit the FSA website for more information.

 
GOVERNOR PATERSON URGES FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO
  DECLARE 23 NEW YORK COUNTIES AGRICULTURAL DISASTER
  AREAS.


 
New York Farm Bureau urges Governor Paterson to request
  the necessary disaster declaration from the U.S. Secretary
  of the Department of Agriculture to ensure that farmers are
  eligible for federal disaster programs as a result of the
  recent hail storm.


 
New York State Senators urge U.S. Department of
  Agriculture to issue an agricultural damage declaration to
  cover affected areas from June 16th storms.


 
Governor Paterson urges New York farmers to report crop
  damage to trigger federal emergency assistance.
