NEW YORK FARM BUREAU VIRTUAL PRESS CONFERENCE TO OUTLINE NATIONAL PRIORITIES
The Farm Bill is up for renewal this year, the most significant federal legislation impacting New York’s farmers and food system.
New York Farm Bureau President David Fisher will hold a virtual press conference tomorrow, June 6 at 10:00 a.m. to unveil the organization’s national public policy agenda.
New York Farm Bureau’s Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee will be visiting lawmakers in Washington, D.C. next week to advocate for federal priorities. They include the passage of the 2023 Farm Bill that provides essential risk management protection, conservation support, and needed research for our farmers.
On the Zoom call, President Fisher and NYFB’s Deputy Public Policy Director Lauren Williams, who oversees national affairs, will speak about needed changes to the Farm Bill. In addition, they will address immigration and regulatory reform along with support for sustainability and rural support programs.
There will be an opportunity for reporters to ask questions following a brief presentation.
